PSV Information

PSV Eindhoven were formed in 1913 and have played in the Eredivisie since its formation in 1956. PSV are one of the country's big three alongside Ajax and Feyenoord. They are one of the most well supported teams in the Netherlands with fans from all over the country.

The club is a Dutch powerhouse and over the years have been one of the most successful Dutch football clubs. The club have won the Dutch League title on 24 occasions in their history and are the current champions.

PSV's most successful period was in the late 1980's to early 1990's under manager Guus Hiddink when they were a powerhouse in Europe. The club won the European Cup in 1988, UEFA Super Cup and the Intercontinental Cup.

PSV's playing kit is a red and white striped shirt with white shorts and black socks. The kit design is based on the Austrian club FC Nuremberg. The team's shirt numbers have a long history and the players shirt numbers are allocated on performance and history.

PSV's home ground is the Royal Philips Stadium and has been the club's home since its opening in 1913. It has a capacity of 35,000 and is one of the most modern stadiums in Europe. The stadium is located in the heart of Eindhoven and is easily accessible by road, rail and air.
